“Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.” – L. Reid

Wow. This is a saying that is SO not part of our culture huh. Thanks to my little sis for bringing this one to my attention. It’s a goodie.

It’s no secret that over-consumption got the best of me. I’m going to officially make this my motto for the year!

oh no, i haven't been getting updates about your posts and missed like 2 weeks of em! i'll try and resubscribe.
anna, looks like you've been learning a lot about yourself these past few weeks. don't get discouraged. only you can control what you spend, so set your mind to it and maybe put practices in place that actually prohibit you from spending more, like direct depositing any extra money (over your $100) into a savings account, out of site, out of mind. maybe even give your husband the password and tell him to keep it from you, haha. just a thought. pretty soon, you won't even remember you have that money sitting around and it'll be accumulating like crazy!

remember that whenever we learn something new, we always go through that awkward in-between phase. like it's too late to go back to how you were before knowing what you know now, but it's still too foreign or new to feel comfortable doing the new thing. this is where a lot of people give up. give yourself time, it all takes practice and patience. you will fall and it's ok. just dust yourself off and start again.

last year proved that you have amazing resolve. tap into that again now. :)
