Perspective has so much to do with wealth. If we are the man (or woman) who craves more, we’ll never be wealthy and we’ll never be happy. We’ll always be looking for that next bigger, shinier toy or that new and improved thing-a-ma-bob. During my quest to save money I’ve had to do a lot of soul searching. I’ve had to find out what is important to me and I’ve learned to be more grateful in the process.

Gratitude has been the game changer for me in my spending fast! It is the number one thing that gets me through. I know of several ungrateful people – you could say they have a sense of entitlement- who are beyond unhappy.
I live by an adage that’s actually in a little frame on my home office wall: “He who lives content with little possesses everything.” A bit of a different spin on Seneca, but the same message.
So true. We have to learn our own definition of “enough” and it is usually with much less than we’d expect.
