Simple Disciplines

Simple Disciplines | And Then We Saved

“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.” -Jim Rohn

One day you decide to take your lunch to work. Then you do it again and again and again. Then you decide to pay a little bit more of your loan each month, then you do it again and again. Next you decide to put a little bit of money into an emergency account, then you do it again the next month and again and again. Pretty soon you’re a killer success from a few small disciplines.

How are you making your small disciplines into big successes? Chat with me in the comments!

    Hey Melanie!

In preparation for my spending fast Jan 2017 I am trying to create small habits and turn them into successes such as making my bed in the morning- minimalizing it to just a comforter and 4 pillows so it’s a simple process. Also, unplugging things that aren’t in use to experiment with how much I’ll save on energy when that bill rolls around. We actually have access to doing laundry at work so making use of those machines once a week as well to save some cents. Here’s to big successes and may they continue throughout my fast of 2017! ;)

Well, I have been using a few practices already: every time I get paid I have my bank acct set up to automatically transfer $$ into my savings acct so if I don’t see it, I won’t miss it. Also, I never send the minimum amount due to my credit cards, I usually send a few hundred $$ extra.
My problem is impulse buying & the need to simplify my life. I have WAY to many things. I have a tote of items I don’t need & have done this several times in the past but then I will end up buying more stuff I really don’t need. I really need help!! ??
