“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you do not have. Remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.”
When you’re in the midst of a Savings Diet or a Spending Fast, it’s easy to think about the things you are missing out on. Good ol’ F.O.M.O. But it’s just as important to remember how far you’ve come and how much you saved. Six months, three months or just a month ago, you were wishing that you could save some money and now you have! You’re doing things that you only wished for. You’re amazing! Don’t spoil that!
How have you remained grateful during your saving journey? Let’s chat in the comments!
I’m always grateful thinking for all the blessings that I have now. When I saw some people in the street roaming around without work, I felt really blessed especially that I have a wonderful daughter.
I think for me its concentrating on your relationships with people, rather than material things :-) i like to remind myself of reality of this wold and remain grateful for some essential things in life : good health ( if you don’t have this you struggle to achieve things significantly more) and great family, friends and better half :-)
Thank you! Sometimes it’s nice to have a reminder of why you’re doing what you’re doing in the first place.
A wonderful reminder of how we should all live our lives.
A nice reminder indeed! I’m usually stressed over work and savings but my family and friends always get my feet back on the ground.
