Not satisfied If It Were Doubled

Not satisfied if it were doubled

“You say ‘If I had a little more, I should be very satisfied.’ You make a mistake. If you are not content with what you have, you would not be satisfied if it were doubled.” -Charles Spurgeon

We all know those people who are never satisfied. With anything! Ever! I don’t want to be one of those people. Yes, I want to support myself and my family. Yes, I want nice things. But I also want to be content with my crummy things. I want to appreciate my old t-shirts and my small bank account and my mismatched flatware. Because I know that if I’m not satisfied now, I won’t be satisfied later. Satisfaction is a state of mind.

    Agree.

I also think this isn’t just a guess, it’s provable because chances are you already have a little more than you used to.

Great reminder though, I need to remember to be thankful and satisfied with what I’ve already got.
