Wow, that is the best post so far. Here is how it goes for me. I am a "fabric addict", I sew quilt tops as a hobby/diet plan (I can't eat if i'm sewing), but even with my neighborhood "discount fabric shop" which I LOVE, I think sometimes the best plan is to take unused fabric (clothes I don't wear) to feed my sewing habit. You can take 8-9 pairs of jeans cut them up, sew them together however you like, and line with something like an old worn out sheet or blanket and this winter you will not ever be cold. MAKE THINGS BY HAND (or sewing machine) is just a fabulous use of your time in my opinion.
