The other week, a film crew from Good Morning America came to my home to interview me for a segment on their show. I talked all about my book and the Spending Fast. I also talked about our amazing Spending Faster community.
It’s all been pretty exciting! And it was so wild to see how they edited everything together!
Did you catch the segment on Good Morning America this morning? If not, you can watch the replay below.
I’m SO excited to be spreading the word about the Spending Fast and hopefully encourage others to join us on this debt-free journey!
I’ve also included a few behind the scenes photos for you to see …
I did see the segment, and since it’s on your blog, I can rewatch it over and over again for encouragement. This will be the turning point of 2018 for me, maybe the best 4 minutes of television viewing yet! I want to start at the beginning of the month, which gives me a few days to get my thoughts down on paper. I bought the book last night, and will read the opening chapters, too. I am excited to get out from under this burden- with a support community, too!
This seems unbelievable to me. I have paid off debt in full more than once. It’s amazing how we defend what we think we need! I am recently divorced. A single mom and I haven’t found work. So the chunk of the debt I have gotten is a majority of our fixed expenses. But there is debt from some frivolous spending and a chunk for my pets vet bills!
I watched this segment and was fascinated but one thing was never mentioned which I think could give people false hope. The salary you have to work with in paying off the debt determines how quickly it is paid off.
Hi Debbie, great question! At the time of my Spending Fast, I worked as a clerk for the state with an annual salary around $33K.
Great segment. I saw it and then stumbled on your blog today. One of the things I am working on this year is tracking my spending. It’s been a huge problem and it’s even worse when I use cash. I want to know where all my money is going – so I can see the big picture and make changes. If you can do it with a 33k salary, I should be able to do it.
Nice interview, Anna! You’ve taught us a lot.
Awesome segment! In my opinion, so many of our spending habits are just that.. habits! Even if not 100% broken, they can be tamed with “swaps” as I’ve done with about $1500+ monthly without going over the line of sanity. :)
