Hope and Confidence

Hope and Confidence

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” -Helen Keller

I’m not a naturally optimistic person. I always think of the worst case scenario before the best case scenario. But lately I’ve been challenging myself to be more optimistic. And it’s given me hope, as well as confidence in myself and in my choices. I can see it helping me to not only achieve, but to thrive.

Are you naturally optimistic? If not, what tips or tricks do you have for looking on the bright side of things?

It’s weird; I can be optimistic about some things but really down about many things. I guess overall I’m a pessimist, but I don’t think that’s a terrible thing. From a financial perspective it means I’m always prepared for the absolute worst. But it’s tough because it also means I’m more likely to be upset when things don’t go my way.
