Get Out of Your Head with Some Charitable Giving (GIVEAWAY CLOSED)

givetuesday givology

Even when I’ve been the most broke the thing that always helps me get out of my head (so I can stop thinking about my own crap) is helping others.

If you’re making a financial donation or giving your time to a charity it’s good for both the soul and the wallet. It’s one of the great ironies of life- giving away what you have to keep what you have.

Be generous with your time, give what you can and positivity will flow towards you instead of away from you.

Recently, I found out about this cool project called Givology. Their mission is to make quality education accessible for all children. The organization is run 100% by volunteers so all the money that gets donated goes to the kids who desperately need it the most, and not towards the cost of running the program.

I donated to the Kibera School for Girls Arts Education Program. I love this project in particular because it’s an art program for girls; two things that I can really relate to – art and being a girl;). It’s all about encouraging the imagination that every child possesses, and helping kids get quality educations so they can feel empowered to live the life they’re meant to!

Guess what! Givology wants to give one of YOU $25 to donate so you can help someone in need too!

A winner will be randomly selected next Tuesday, November 27th in honor of #GivingTuesday and I’ll announce the winner in this post.

Also, until the end of November Givology will be matching donations dollar for dollar. To make sure your donation is doubled go here.

If you can only give a $1 that’s fine! $1 will help the kids!
