I’m keeping close track of what I’ve paid off, my goals, and how far I have to go. Seeing my debt go down and my net worth go up keeps me motivated. Making plans with my family about what will come next helps, too. And when things pop up that are unexpected, I remind myself… I didn’t get in this shape overnight. I’m not gonna get out overnight… The journey is going to make me appreciate debt freedom that much more.

I decided last week to start looking for a part-time job. I applied for a job and an hour later they called me back. I had an interview that afternoon and started working the next day. I decided that I’m SO sick and tired of being in debt that I need to do more to help get myself out of this hell that I have created for myself. So, I got myself a part-time job and that money will go straight to paying off my credit card debt. I know that the $800/month will get me out of debt much quicker than without it. Here’s hoping I can stick to putting that money each month on my debt!
