“Never spend your money before you have earned it.” -Thomas Jefferson
With a regular 9-5 job and direct deposits into online bank accounts, it’s easy to become detached to money. Numbers on a screen don’t always seem real. We work hard and do our jobs, but it can be hard to see how we truly earned our money.
When I was working a “regular job” I jotted down the things I did each day in a planner. Then, when I got my paycheck at the end of the month, I would look back and see what I did to earn those wages. It made me see how I worked to earn my money and made me less likely to frivolously spend those hard-earned buck-a-roos.
How are you making your money more “real?” Talk to me in the comments!
Brilliant! I think we all get carried away with all the marketing pushed in our faces!
Good little reminder! X
