A Cheap Gift Idea + Stickygram Giveaway (CLOSED)

Do you love Instagram as much as I do? (My username is @annanewelljones if you want to follow along, and I want to know yours too.)

Here’s an inexpensive gift idea for you.

Turn your cherished photos into magnets

I was surprised how easy it was to make these magnets on Stickygram and when they arrived they were the exact same size as the picture on the phone. These would make a cute custom and thoughtful gift. These days as easy as it is to take (tons) of pictures it seems no one is making prints (!). This is a way to make those memories tangible.

I have to point out how stylish my little 7 year-old niece is in the above picture. She’s always got mad style and that’s a memory I never want to forget.

**This giveaway has closed but there are actually a ton of great DIY gift ideas in the comments. So check ’em out!

To win your own set of magnets it’s easy.

♥ Simply tell me in the comment section below what your favorite DIY gift is

Be sure to leave your name and contact info in the requested fields so I can contact the winner. The contest will close on Thursday, May 17th at 9pm Mountain time. Good Luck!

p.s. Stickygram is an affiliate but I’d still think this was a good gift idea even if they weren’t.

it sounds cheesy, but never underestimate the power of a handwritten letter. especially for family members

My favorite DIY gift tends to be consumable, like a pound cake or something of the sort. Since DIY gifts typically are less valuable (note: not less valued) I like to give things that won't be clutter in six months.

I like to make oatmeal chocolate chips cookies because they superficially seem healthier than they are. also, I just made my brother a pillow for giving me his old Kindle.

I haven't done this yet, actually, but I would LOVE to make Homemade Vanilla for friends and family for Christmas this year!

I love making gifts! For Mother's Day, I gave my mom some lemon sugar scrub for her hands. (and I may have made some extra for myself…)

I like to crochet things…so far I've given Christmas ornaments, stuffed animals, and scarves as gifts.

My favorite DIY gift is a hand knit scarf. Everyone loves a scarf with dropped stitches in them right?!

I love knitting items–especially hats and scarves–around the holidays. For birthdays I'm a big fan of scrapbooking/collaging, or finding a DIY version of something my loved one likes–e.g., t-shirt necklace for my little sister. I also love making up a batch of baked cookies in pretty packaging!

Do it yourself gift baskets! You can always find an assortment of baskets at thrift stores for around a dollar. Then fill it with candies, homemade goodies, crackers and cheese or summer sausage, and fruit. (For smaller baskets I use those mini bananas and key limes or tangerines.) And whatever else you can think up! To make it really look nice I get shrinkwrap bags at hobby lobby ($1-$2) to seal it. The recipient of the last one I made told me she could tell it was made with love :)

This past year I got really into canning homemade preserves for holiday gifts. I also made homemade limoncello. People loved them, and they were so much fun for me to make!

Lots of great ideas – I like to make the childrens gifts as I have a few that I give presents for – I have made Treasure boxes, Summer Fun buckets, magnetic boards, tic tac toe games, This year I am making ice cream sundae kits in a can – just add icecream.

Ahh! I would absolutely love to win this giveaway!

My favorite DIY gift is ridiculous but tried and true….a hand crocheted scarf or beanie. My in laws live in the midwest. I mean, come on! It's just too easy :)

I don't have one specific DIY gift, I love all kinds. I am very sentimental so whenever it's time to give a gift I make something that fits that person accordingly :) I am often complimented on the gifts I give because I like them to be one of kind & very personal to the receiver. An amazing gift with the best result was when I made a scrapbook for my friend for her mother to give to her for her birthday, they both cried looking at it & it melted my heart.
