If you ever need a sure-fire way to NOT spend money get a dose of food-poisoning. I got a big helping of it on Saturday night.
I barfed no less than 7 times and lost count after that. Every 1/2 hour the bathroom and I met up again.
It. Was. Terrible.
Food poisoning is definitely NOT the recommended way to save money.
The icky-ness from the icky-ness is starting to fade luckily.
In the mean-time here are some pics from the article I mentioned a week or so ago that was published in the May 2011 issue of 5280 magazine and the link to the story is right here.
food poisoning scares the crap out of me–what did you get it from?
congrats on the magazine feature–very cool!
I am a Colorado resident and native and lover of 5280 magazine. I saw your article when our copy arrived at work. I am also new to the fashion blogging world and saw you featured on Haiku Ambulance. I told my bf about your goal and how you reached it. It is really inspiring! I am very proud of what you have done–that takes major discipline! I wish I could learn to do the same. Hope you all the best and hope you feel better. Throwing up is THE worst!
Anna, so sorry about the food poisoning . I've had it and it's neither the preferred way to save money or lose weight. Ugh.
I really want to read the 5280 article. Is it online yet?
hi ali, i think i got it from quizno's. i've heard it takes 2 days to "kick in" so that's the only thing that would make sense. pretty horrible. ugh. thanks for the congrats!
so that's why you were "absent"… glad to hear you've recovered and congratulations on the magazine feature!
I am SO sorry about the food poisoning. I had it a few months ago and wanted to die. I'm glad you're feeling better. I've read that drinking a bit of apple cider vinegar helps tons, but I thankfully haven't had cause to try it out.
Woohoo! This is so interesting! I can't wait till you talk about adventures in investing- all that stuff is greek to me but I would love to learn more about it. Congrats on an awesome feature!
I hope you're feeling fully recovered. I have been following your saga for many months, and always look forward to the monthly tally of your savings. Now that you've fully paid off your debt, I hope we can still follow your financials, if it's not too intrusive. I'm just as interested in learning about what people do when they actually get into the black after all this debt reduction.
That is so fantastic! Good for you, it sounds like you truly deserve it :)
I've had food poisoning a few times as well…NOT Fun…One of my first dates w/ my husband I got it, and I could not make it into work the next day. We worked at the same place at the time. I was still living at home. My dad came into my bedroom around 7am and said, " hold on..someone's at the door." I said wait that's me banging on the walls. I was so out of energy, I needed someone to help me.
Major congrats on the mag. feature. That's great!!
