Rubbish. Its not about money but about the values and goals you hold. Having loads of money is not a bad thing. Its how and why you acquire it that really matters.

    Anna,

Just wanted to update you. We will be paying off our biggest credit card within the next week to ten days! You have so inspired me and I wanted to let you know that because of your website, I finally got motivated to quit squandering my money and do something about my debt. When all is said and done, by the end of June, we will have paid off over $12,000 in credit cards since January!!! I am a little stunned and amazed and even though it's going to clean out our savings, I know we will be able to save so much faster and so much more money every month because we won't be sending those big payments to the credit cards.

So, just wanted to thank you, thank you, thank you for being such an awesome inspiration. I never thought I would EVER see a day when I had no car payment and no credit card debt. Absolutely amazing!

Well I can officialy say it has been exactly 1 year since I have used a credit card. I have 7 credit cars 1 of which I completely paid off. 3 of the seven are closed but still have balances. I am focusing on paying off one of the closed ones off first (since I closed them for having super high interest rates) and paying the minimum on the others. I am getting there slowly since I’m not on the spending fast, I’m on the spending diet (my husband refuses to do the spending fast…ggrrrrrrrr!). I feel like a world of weight has lifted off my shoulders by just simply deciding I would no longer add to my debt but rather reduce it. Yup, I’m finally on my way!

Congratulations! What an amazing accomplishment! You are awesome! It is amazing how much freedom comes from not creating additional debt!!

I should say though, and I know you said you already closed credit cards but for people who might be reading this- please do not close credit cards since it can adversely affect your credit score. Cut up the credit cards, freeze them, pretend they don’t exist but please don’t close them.
