Exploring The World For Free

Since today is the re-activation of the Spending Fast it’s pretty terrible timing that I’m also traveling today. We’re visiting family which complicates things on the money front. Doesn’t it seem like money is needed for just about everything?! We’re going to do the trip very bare bones and we’re going to explore for free (like the image above notes) and we’re going to enjoy being together with everyone and that’s all free.

There’s a lot that can be done with absolutely no money. I’ve found that it just takes a bit more maneuvering to figure out and plan things. It can be done though.

Noticing life can be fun. Channel your inner Manna From Brooklyn and see what you notice too.

Here’s to Day 1 of the Spending Fast, and to being back on the horse!

While I’m away I’ll be posting some questions that readers have sent me along with the answers.

Have a great week!

How do you explore your world for free?

This is a great reminder that I need to take more time to stop and look around. There really IS a lot of beauty out there.

I hope you have a great trip!

I just got back from an unplanned trip to N.J. The flight put us back to our debt levels of June. However, it was a funeral for the mom of a very close friend. Worth every penny.

I guess I did save money by staying with relatives, visiting old friends, and spending my days walking around my old home town. However, I would gladly have paid for the good time we had talking and reminiscing.

    Enjoy your trip.

  3. Such a wonderful idea for entertaining yourself on the cheap/for free. I find that if I drive to a suburb I don't know and just walk around, I am so enthralled by the "newness" in my city that I've never found that I don't feel the need to spend money. :)

Dear Anna, I've been in a writing cave (finishing my book) but emerged excited to read your blog — and here is one of the best waiting for me. You simply have the gift, choosing for us great and inspiring content. You really should write a book. Let me know if you need any help — and I will let you know when mine is available so you can tell your readers. "High Heeled Traders: Understand Trading with Shopping, Fashion and Shoes" is for women (and men who care about us) who want to learn about trading financial markets and not lose brain cells understanding what it is all about — I promised free eBooks and I am keeping that promise. Email charmel@highheeledtraders.com for those interested to get it. cheers! Charmel

building up relationships is free and the relationships make me happier than any material object could.
